Michael Davitt club notes

February 08, 2016

With the increased volume of users of club facilities and traffic around the pitch due to the commencement of underage training and the Slimpossible events, I ask all club members and users of the facilities to be very mindful when driving around the club.Always adhere to the speed limit signs on display around the club grounds as every evening we have children taking part in training and also walkers using the track around the pitch.Take special care around the main entry door to the hall in the evenings as children and young people will be entering and exiting at this point.
St.John's Primary School Swatragh in association with Michael Davitts G.A.C. commenced MISSION:SLIM POSSIBLE a couple of weeks ago and it is very encouraging to see everyone feeling very enthusiastic and energetic so early in the year. The club would like to thank everyone taking part and also a big thank you to anyone who has contributed in any way to ensuring it is the success that it is.The programme includes;weekly weigh-in,dietician,boot camp, circuit training, set dancing, boxercise, cycling, running, organized team sports, gym classes, aerobics and much more.
The club would like to thank all club members who  once again supported  the weekly Big Bingo. Please note that the new start time of the weekly bingo is 8.30pm.Please also note this has been changed to a ten game session,Games 1 - 9 will have lines at £50 and houses at £100,Game 10 will have £50 for the line and £300 for the house which must go.The Jackpot this week of £1,700  will also be played for in the last house and it will rise by £50 per week on 45 numbers.A 10 page book will cost £10. The Bingo is a very important part of the clubs weekly activities.
Could  club members return all National Draw tickets and monies to any committee member by Saturday 13th February.Tickets and monies may also be returned to committee members at bingo on the night of Saturday 6th February. This is a great opportunity for the Club to raise a substantial amount of money for the incoming year.
Club lotto numbers on last Saturday (6th February) were; 4,5,12 and 17. There was no Jackpot winner, the two lucky dip winners were Mary McQuillan and Kevin C Glass. Next week the Jackpot is £2,000.

Would you like to do the club lotto every week? Is there ever a week when you forget or are on holiday? How would you feel if that was the week your numbers came up? The jackpot has went FOUR times in the last 12 months. Worry not, you can sign up for a standing order which means you don't have to fill out a slip every week but will still be entered and can use your same numbers without fear of ever forgetting them. Please contact any member of the Committee if you would like to sign a standing order.
If any club member wants any club related item inserted in the weekly club notes ,please contact Club P.R.O. Paul Coyle on 07711 226056 or on  e-mail,[email protected]
