Minor Hurling

Hard luck to our minor hurlers who got beat by Slaughtneil in the County Final on Saturday, thanks to all the players and mgt for the time and effort throughout the year.

Tony's Dream Team - A Night of Legends

Saturday night saw the culmination of Tony's Dream Team fundraiser with a Night of Legends taking place in a packed clubhouse with gaels from across the country attending.

Whilst no one matched the team, Roisin Rocks from Ballinderry won the £1,000 with 13/15 and the set of jerseys going to Newtownbutler.

 

A huge thanks to our 3 fantastic guests on the evening, Eoin Bomber Liston, Jack McCaffrey and Michael Murphy, they truly kept the massive crowd entertained along with our own Tony Scullion.  Thanks to Kevin Kelly for doing a super job as compere and to everyone else that contributed to a truly memorable night.

 

Finally thanks to all the sellers from our club that knocked on doors across the province raising vital funds.

All sessions will take place in the Backrow Hall unless stated otherwise, cost is £1 and all new players are welcome.

U14 Camogie - Fitness Programme starts on Wednesday night from 7.45pm to 9pm in Backrow. £15 for 10 weeks. Bring towel or mat. Year 8. 9 and any year 10 born after January 2002

Rang Gaeilge/ Irish language classes

Bíonn rang Gaeilge ar siúl achan Aoine sa bhunscoil ar 8.30-10.00pm. Fáilte roimh chach

Irish language classes are on going every Friday in the Irish speaking Primary school at 8.30-10.00 pm. Everyone welcome

                             

Cispheile/Basketball

Tá an club ag iarraidh grupa Gaeileoirí a chur le chéile le cispheile a imirt thar an gheimhridh. The club is trying to organize a group of Irish speakers to play basketball over the winter. If you are interested, you must be over 18 years old. Oíche Staire / History Night

 

Leis an chomóradh céad bliain Éirí amach na Cásca ag teacht cóngarach roimh a bhfad, beidh léacht sa chlubtheach CLG Dé Satharn 21ú mí na Samhna ar 8.30 pm. Beidh Pronnsias Ó Brollachain ag déanamh machnaimh ar an tréimhse seo i stáir na hÉireann. Beidh ceolteoirí ón Chumann Traidisiúnta Bhaile na Scríne ann díreach ina dhiaidh seo agus beidh fearadh fáilte roimh chách.

 

With the centenary of the 1916 rising fast approaching, there will be a historical talk in St Colm's GAC club house on Saturday the 21st November at 8.30 pm. The talk will be given by Pronsias Brolly reflecting on this period in Irish history, followed by musicians from the local Ballinascreen Traditional Music group. Everyone is more than welcome.
