A huge thank you to all 275 cyclists who turned up and took part in our first Charity Cycle NW100.  The 25 and 65 mile routes were completed with great effort put in by all in difficult conditions.  We thank you all for your sponsors who as always are generous and keen to support the club in any way they can.  A Special thank you to all of those who helped to co ordinate and organise the day to make it a success.  We thank Cancer Focus for their help and advice in running the event.  We will see you all next year again,keep cycling.
The club would ask all club members to support the weekly Bingo which commences each Saturday night at 9pm with a Jackpot of £2,500 to be won in 42 numbers or less in the last house.The Bingo is a very important part of the clubs weekly activities.
Club lotto numbers on Saturday past (16th August) were; 1,3,6 and 20. There was no Jackpot winner and the two lucky dip winners were Adrian Quinn and Una Quinn.The Jackpot next week is £3,600.
Conal Gallen,Irelands top comedian is appearing at Michael Davitts hall this Saturday 22nd August,this promises to be a very entertaining night.Tickets £20,doors open at 8pm,disco afterwards by Apollo,entry by ticket only.Tickets are available from Mace Swatragh and Friels Bar Swatragh.

The Club would like to wish Patrick Kearney,Francis Kearney and Niall McAtamney all the best this coming Sunday (23rd  August @1.30pm) when Derry Minor County Footballers play Kerry in the All-Ireland Minor Semi-Final in Croke Park in what should be a great occasion for the three players involved and all from the club.
The U-12 and U-14 Hurlers had a brilliant day in Croke Park on Sunday last as they travelled to see the All-Ireland Senior HurlingSemi-Final between Galway and Tipperary in what was a truly memorable game.The U-12 Hurlers have another day out in Croke Park this week as they are participating in an Activity Day on Tuesday 18th August.
The Minor hurling team are scheduled to play Lavey this Wednesday evening (19th August) away at 7.30pm,please check official fixtures for confirmation.
The U-14 hurling team were defeated by  Lavey 3-7 to 1-4 last Wednesday evening.
The Senior Football team were defeated by  Kilrea 3-17 to 1-12 last Saturday evening in the first round of the Senior Football Championship,they will now play Newbridge in the qualifiers.

The jackpot has went FOUR times in the last 12 months. Worry not, you can sign up for a standing order which means you don't have to fill out a slip every week but will still be entered and can use your same numbers without fear of ever forgetting them.Please contact any member of the Committee if you would like to sign a standing order.
