A club player in Derry is out of pocket to the tune of £250 following a fixture mix-up in the county.

The County Derry Post has revealed that an unnamed played booked flights home for a game last weekend, but the game was initially called off, before being put back on and finally cancelled again.

The postponed games will now go ahead this Sunday, June 28th meaning that the player has had to book another flight home.

A last minute meeting of the Derry CCC finally called the games off after they had been toing and froing all week over whether or not the games would go ahead.

Derry will be in action in the Ulster SFC semi-final against Donegal this Saturday evening and the games can go ahead on Sunday as planned.
