Cardiac Screening: The Healthy Heart - Cardiac Screening Clinic for those aged 14-35 has been arranged for Saturday 30th May. Appointments available from 1pm. For those interested in securing a slot please contact club secretary Aine Bradley on 07825840884 or via email [email protected] ASAP. (We will screen over 35 years if person is still very active and no history of heart disease).

Senior Football: Our seniors hosted Banagher to Watty Graham Park on Sunday afternoon. Michael Warnock opened the scoring with a point however Banagher soon replied with a pointed free kick. Both teams then traded points, with Danny Tallon getting both points for the hosts. Banagher were aided by the breeze and went in front with three points of their own, before Ryan Dougan kicked over the last score of the half to leave score Glen 0-04 Banagher 0-06 at the break. After the restart, Ryan Winton kicked Glen's fifth point from a free. Banagher responded with two points however with fifteen minutes remaining Glen assumed control and kicked five unanswered points from Paul Gunning, Ryan Dougan, Ryan Winton, Declan Brolly and Danny Tallon to win on a scoreline of Glen 0-11 Banagher 0-08. Glen scorers Michael Warnock 0-01, Danny Tallon 0-03, Ryan Dougan 0-03, Paul Gunning 0-01, Declan Brolly 0-01 and Ryan Winton 0-02. Next league is away to Bellaghy next Sunday at 3.30pm.

Reserve Football: The reserves continued their winning ways on Sunday after defeating Banagher at Watty Park. Despite a slow start with Banagher scoring 1-02 without reply in the first eight minutes our lads eventually got to grips with the game and had the better of the remainder of the half. With points in succession from Mark O'Donnell (3), Conor Convery (5) and Seanny McGroggan we moved 4 points into the lead. Conor McDevitt showed last week's score was no fluke as he put two over the bar inside a minute!! Banagher responded with a point before the half. Our defence was solid for the majority of the half. Half Time Score: Glen 0-11 Banagher 1-03. Jordon Martin replaced Marc Hutchinson and Aodhan McGrath replaced Ciaran McCloy at the break. Banagher opened the scoring in the second half but points from midfielders Marc Cudden (2) and Connlan Bradley ensured the Wattys kept the game comfortable. Banagher then got a goal but this was quickly cancelled out by a major from Seanny McGroggan after a good supporting run. Another goal from Banagher after some slack defending cut the lead to four points. Marc Hutchinson re-entered the fray in place of the free scoring Conor Convery. A goal from Blaine O'Donnell and a point by Mark O'Donnell closed the game out. Full Time Score: Glen 2-15 Banagher 3-07. Couch to 5K: Watty's Couch to 5k event will take place on Friday 12th June at 7pm. This event is for everyone interested in running and not only those who have completed the training at the pitch. The entry fee is £10.00 for all walkers/runners. Registration will take place at 6.30pm on Friday 12th June. The route for the 5k event: Start at the Glen Centre - Main Street - Coleraine Road - The Crew - Station Road - Lower Main Street - Meeting House Ave - Fair Hill - Glen Road - Finish at the Glen Centre. There will be light refreshments severed in the centre after the event.

40 Year Camogie Celebrations: Can anyone with old photos / memorabilia related to the past 40 years of Glen Camogie Club please contact Una Ferguson. The Camogie Club's 40 year Celebrations will take place on the weekend of the 4th, 5th and 6th September. Further details will be released in due course.

Kitchen Notice: The kitchen in the Glen Centre has been spring cleaned. Thanks to the kitchen committee for carrying out this work. Going forward, if anyone is using the kitchen please clean up afterwards. Please empty all bins, clean cooker, wash and dry dishes and put them away. When requesting cups, boiler etc there is now a box made up for people who wish to borrow items. A book will be in kitchen to mark anything borrowed out, this includes chairs and tables.
Fundamentals & Under 6 Training: Fundamentals and Under 6 football continue at Glen pitch on Wednesday evenings 6.30-7.30pm.
Camogie Training: Under 6, under 8 & under 10 Camogie training is also at the pitch on Wednesdays 6.15 - 7.15pm. New children are always very welcome.
Ladies Football Training: Under 12 Ladies Football training commences at 9.30am on Saturday mornings at the pitch. All new players welcome!
Glen2Glen Cycle: On 12th September 2015 we plan to replicate the success of 2013 and have another Glen2Glen Cycle. Our chosen charities this year are both local and very worthy - The Fort Centre (Riding School for the Disabled) and Charis Integrated Cancer Care. After donations to both charities all the funds will be assigned to the provision of new floodlights for the top playing pitch.
Equipment: Can all managers / coaches please check their car boots, garages etc to see if there is any club training equipment such as balls, cones, bibs etc and return all to the container. We are currently carrying out an inventory check and will be getting equipment restocked if necessary.
Gear Shop: The very popular Grey, White & Lime Hoodies and the Green, Navy, Amber Side zips have arrived back in stock. The gear shop will be open on Friday evenings 7.30pm - 8pm.
