Senior Football: Glen faced Eoghan Rua Coleraine on Sunday afternoon at Watty Graham Park. Played in glorious conditions, Coleraine opened the scoring with a pointed free. Wing back Odhran Bradley then opened Glen's account with a well taken point. Coleraine broke through and unfortunately from a Glen perspective the ball beat keeper Warnock and found the back of the net. Glen however steadied themselves and fired over a range of points from the accurate boots of Danny Tallon and Ryan Winton, with Andy Warnock performing heroically on a couple of occasions in the Glen goal. Half Time score Glen 0-07 Coleraine 1-03. After the restart, Coleraine's style of play continued to be ultra-defensive but Glen continued to control the game and were rewarded with further points from Conor Gallagher, Ryan Winton and Danny Tallon. Danny then blasted to the Coleraine net after a great team move. Coleraine responded with 4 points however Cathal Mulholland put the game beyond doubt with a great score to leave Glen deserving winners on a scoreline of Glen 1-12 Coleraine 1-07. Next Sunday Glen travel to Foreglen with throw in at 3.30pm.
Reserve Football: The reserve squad capped a fine day for the Watty's with a nine point win over Coleraine! Playing 13-a-side Glen controlled the game from the off and found themselves ahead by eight at half time. Half Time: Glen 1-06 Coleraine 0-01. Connlan Bradley with the first half goal. The second half was fairly even mainly due to a number of scoring chances being missed by our lads but they never looked in danger of losing the game. The final score was Glen 1-10 Coleraine 0-04. Team: Aodhan McGrath, Declan Brolly, Conor McDevitt, Ryan Martin, Damien Maguire, Michael Gormley, Marc Cudden, Cahir McCabe, Paul Gunning, Conor Convery, Mark O'Donnell, Connlan Bradley, Shay Gormley. Sub's: Blaine O'Donnell for Conor Convery. Next up is a journey to Foreglen on Sunday. Throw in is 2pm!
Championship Draws: The draws for the 2015 reserve & senior football championships were made on Tuesday evening in Owenbeg. The reserves will face Swatragh on Wednesday 6th August and the seniors have been pitted against Bellaghy with the scheduled senior championship dates being Thursday, July 23rd to Sunday 26th July inclusive.
Senior Camogie: The senior Camogs hosted Derrylaughan on Thursday evening.  Derrylaughan got off the mark first with a pointed 45m free but Glen cancelled this out with a Niamh Gallagher point from a free.  Glen pushed on and Niamh McKenna's point from play was followed by a fine point from a narrow angle by Niamh Gallagher.  Caoimhe Glass added another point from play before Derrylaughan hit back with a goal somewhat against the run of play.  Caoimhe then added to her tally when she hit the back of the net to give Glen the lead again.  Derrylaughan scored the next point before Niamh Gallagher struck again pointing from play.  Leanne McCrystal got the final score of the half with a fine hand passed goal to leave the half time score Glen 2-5 Derrylaughan 1-2. Glen started the second half when Caoimhe Glass pointed after good work by Niamh McKenna.  Little did we think that this would be Glen's only score of the half and Derrylaughan started to dominate the game.  They added a point from play and were fortunate with their next scored a goal when the ball dipped under the crossbar.  Glen did have numerous scoring chances but quite often tried for goals when a point would have been the better option.  This was to have a major bearing on the game as Derrylaughan hit 3 unanswered points, all from frees to draw level just before the final whistle leaving the final score Glen 2-6 Derrylaughan 2-6.  This was a game that Glen should have won and they will have a lot to work on at training but the girls are very young and will gain experience from each game.  Their next opposition will be away to Glenullin on Thursday 30th April. Team and scorers: Charlotte Burke, Amy Glasgow, Rebecca Ferguson, Ciara Mulholland, Nuala Convery, Clare McGroggan, Hannah Ferguson, Caoimhe Glass (1-2), Catherine McKenna, Ciarrai Convery, Niamh Gallagher(0-3), Fiona Glasgow, Niamh McKenna(0-1) Leanne McCrystal(1-0), Caoimhe Mulholland. Subs Eimear McNichol, Roisin McCabe, Danielle Kivlehan, Aoife McGuckian and Rachel Glasgow.

Under 18 Camogie: The U-18 Camogs travelled to Swatragh on Sunday morning for their first league game of the season.  Glen were missing a number of the more experienced players so this gave some of the younger girls a chance to prove themselves.  Glen started the brighter of the teams and went into a 4 point lead, full forward Bronagh Gallagher got the first point and then Meabh McGirr added 3 fine points from play.  The lead was short lived as Swatragh replied with a goal and a pointed free to draw level but Glen answered this was a great score, Kiera Convery found Catherine McKenna from a puck out, she sent a long ball info the forwards which was claimed by Bronagh Gallagher who took on the Swatragh defence and rifled the ball into the roof of the net, this was as good a score as you will see in any game.  Glen continued to attack and Orlaith Murphy added another goal before Catherine McKenna converted a 45m free.  Glen scored a further 4 points from play, 2 from the impressive Meabh McGirr, one from Bronagh Gallagher and a beautiful long range score by captain Clare McGroggan.  Glen did make life difficult for themselves as they had as also conceded 2 goals during this period and despite scoring 11 times to Swatragh's 4 they only lead by 5 points at half time on a scoreline of Glen 2-9 Swatragh 3-1. Despite Glen having more possession at the start of the second half Swatragh took the lead with 2 quick goals.  Glen replied with Bronagh Gallagher's second goal and Catherine McKenna added 2 good points from play, Swatragh keep the pressure on with a point from play and one from a 45m free.  Bronagh Gallagher hit her hat trick with another goal but Swatragh managed to hit the net again before they got their final score, a point from play.  Glen continued to attack and were rewarded with 2 more scores, points from Clare McGroggan and Caoimhe Mulholland to leave the final score Glen 4-13 Swatragh 6-4. Well done to all the girls who worked hard throughout the game and got the result they deserved.  We wish Mary Glass a quick recovery from an arm injury sustained during the game.   Next game is away to Magherafelt on 3rd May.
Team and scorers: Kiera Convery, Erica McGill, Kiera Mulholland, Carleen Convery, Aoife McGuckian, Clare McGroggan(0-2), Sorcha Higgins, Catherine McKenna (0-3) Roisin McCabe, Meabh McGirr(0-5), Naimh McKenna, Mary Glass, Caoimhe Mulholland(0-1), Bronagh Gallagher(3-2), Orlaith Murphy(1-0) & Coleen McGahon.

Under 16 Camogie: Glen U-16 team travelled to Lavey on Monday evening for their first league game of the season.  They were first off the mark with a point from play by Bronagh Gallagher but Lavey came back strong hitting 1-1 before Meabh McGirr got her first point of the night.  With the assistance of a strong breeze Lavey added another 1-1 to leave the half time score Glen 0-2 Lavey 2-2. The second half was a different matter with Glen dominating possession.  Ellen Kelly narrowed the gap with a pointed free and this was followed by a point from play by full forward Bronagh Gallagher.  A fine Ciarrai Convery goal left just a point between the teams.  Glen were on top and any Lavey attacks were dealt with without too much trouble. Ellen Kelly levelled the score with a fine point from a free.  Despite being double marked Bronagh Gallagher added the next 2 points from play to give Glen the lead.  Ellen Kelly brought the scoring to a close when she pointed a 45m free leaving the final score Glen 1-8 Lavey 2-2. Well done to all involved. Team and scorers: Aisling Porter, Naimh McCusker, Aoife McCabe, Carleen Convery, Sorcha Higgins, Aoife McGuckian, Erica McGill, Mary Glass, Meabh McGirr(0-1), Ellen Kelly(0-3), Ciarrai Convery(1-0), Rachel McCusker, Aoibheann Molloy, Bronagh Gallagher(0-4), Coleen McGahon, subs Clare Gunning, Beth Mullan and Orla Murphy.

Ladies Football: All County Ladies Senior Football league Rd 1. Glen played their first league fixture away to Ballymaguigan on Monday 13th of April. The game had been arranged for the previous Monday but a waterlogged pitch meant it had to be called off. Glen lost the toss and had to play against a considerable breeze in the first half.   Despite the breeze, it was Glen that started the first half like a whirlwind.  Points from M Cassidy, D Kivlehan, B O'Loughlin (3) and an excellent goal from Claire McGroggan after some brilliant team play gave Glen an 8 point lead after only 10 minutes.  Glen sat back after this and let Ballymaguigan back into the game.  Ballymaguigan dominated the next 15 minutes but only scored the 5 points.  They were held to this small tally due to some excellent defending of McGrath, Glasgow and Caoimhe Mulholland in the full back line. Driven on by their excellent and experienced half back line of Convery, Kerr and McMaster, Glen managed to get back on top for the final 5 minutes.  Points from Kivlehan, Cassidy and McNicholl left Glen 8 points up at half time. Half time score:  Glen 1-08 Ballymaguigan 0-05. Glen started the second half like they finished the first half.  They gained complete control around the middle through Kivlehan and Heavron, while minors McKenna, McNicholl and McGroggan were beginning to show their class from the half forward line.  Michaela Cassidy was now playing at corner forward and helped herself to the first two points of the half.  Brenna O'Loughlin hit another 3 points from play to put Glen 11 points in front.  Fiona Glasgow then brilliantly dispossessed the Ballymaguigan corner back and the ball was moved quickly to Cassidy who drilled the ball to the back of the net.  Another goal quickly followed from minor player Catherine McKenna who was making her senior debut.  She was now proving a real handful at full forward and helped herself to another 2 points.  O'Loughlin hit another point between McKenna's brace after some great work from second half substitute Orla Higgins. Full time score:  Glen 3-16 Ballymaguigan 0-05. A great start to the league from Glen.
