Joe Brolly says he is 'sceptical' that Eoin Bradley's return to the fold is good news for Derry football.

Speaking to The Irish News, the outspoken pundit expressed his reservations about the talented forward's ability to fully buy into they type of team ethos needed to succeed at inter-county level nowadays.

"I think a key thing - as you've seen from Donegal under Jim McGuinness - is there must absolute absolute commitment to the cause.

"You look at Slaughtneil. They have been beating teams with better footballers than them regularly this year because of their absolute commitment to the team ethos.

"There is no doubt that Eoin has extravagant ability but the question mark has alway been: will he play for himself or will he play for the team?

"It has always been my issue that Eoin is an individual and I have always felt that soccer suits him perfectly because of that. He is doing very well in soccer and I'm not the slightest bit surprised because of the attributes he has.

"My feeling has always been that his personality is attracted to that individual thing and he has never really harnessed himself to the team ethic.

"That has been pretty clear over the years and it's a media cliche to say 'Eoin Bradley is back and this is fantastic news' but that has never translated into anything for Derry.

"It's always possible that Brian McIver can integrate him into a team where every is pulling together but I am sceptical."
