Ballinderry celebrate after victory over Glenswilly in the Ulster Club SFC final. INPHO
The start of the 2014 Derry senior football championship is edging ever closer.

The big game of the opening round sees Ballinascreen and Slaughtneil go head to head on Sunday August 3rd. This clash sees the last two beaten county finalists meet.

Defending champions Ballinderry begin the defence of their title against Newbridge. It took a late surge by the Shamrocks to see off Sunday's opponents at the same stage last year.

The action kicks off on August 31st when Banagher and Glenullin meet at Owenbeg with the rest of the games being played over the course of the weekend.
