Derry's Enda Lynn enjoyed his tussle with Mayo All Star Lee Keegan on Sunday.

The pair were in direct opposition for the first of this year's national football league semi-finals at Croke Park, with the Derry man ultimately coming out on top.

"I knew I was going to be on Lee Keegan from day one," the Greenlough clubman says in The Irish News. "I knew he was an All Star from last year; I knew I was coming in under the radar.

"Lee probably didn't know much about me. But I tried just to treat him like any other half back. I just wanted to play my own game.

"In the first half, I tried to put him on the back foot. Once I got him on the back foot, he was under pressure.

"But in the second half, it was vice-versa. When he got me on the back foot, I was under pressure.

"But that was going to happen. He is a good player. He is an All Star for a reason, so he was always going to do something."
