Fergal Doherty is set to return to the Derry midfield for Sunday's Allianz League semi-final against Mayo.

The Bellaghy man has recovered from the head injury he sustained in the win over Kildare last Sunday week and will be available for the Croke Park encounter. However, the news is not good regarding classy half forward James Kielt, who suffered a quad strain after replacing Doherty against the Lilywhites.

Ballinderry's Gareth McKinless, who made his debut against Kildare, is also struggling with injury and may not make it, but Dermot McBride has returned to training and should feature on Sunday. Tweet
