Mervyn Travers

(Oldest Posts First)

Very bad news that he is out for a year. An excellent goalkeeper.

Hopefully we will see him back between the sticks again.

Very tough on Mervyn - great keeper .

When its comes to C'ship - we have picked up soem nasty long term injuries in past year - Power with broken ankle v Westmeath last year , Paddy Dalton with broken shoulder v Westmeath last year , Travers Knee v Westmeath this year , Paudge McWalter Broken Knee cap v Carlow this year..

All long term and bad injuries .. just unlucky.

countless last ditch saves over the last few seasons, tommy murphy cup final and last year v down spring to mind.. quality keepers are rare and lets hope the new lad is as consistant . speedy recovery to paudge and mervyn .
