Hard luck to the intermediates who were beaten by Hollywood in the championship semi final in Baltinglass last weekend on a scoreline of 2-14 to 3-7. The lads gave it their all but just failed to get going in the second half, which was frustrating for all as we had put ourselves in a super position after a slow start, going in at the break 2pts up with the wind in our backs in the second half. To be fair Hollywood are an experienced team and made their momentum count in the second half so we can have no qualm's with the result. Although bitterly disappointed, the team can hold their heads up high. They performed well over the year, gave their all, battled with heart and pride as all Billies teams do in the heat of championship. They are still a young enough outfit too, so with a bit of luck and an extra push hopefully that championship win we are all after won't be long coming along. On behalf of the club, thanks to Paddy Molloy, Kevin, Billy and all the players for their efforts over the year. The club would also like to thank everyone who was involved in another successful Coole run on Saturday last - the organising committee, sponsors and most importantly the 110 runner / walkers took part in the 5k walk / 10k run. Results are on the Billies Facebook page. Finally there was no lotto jackpot winner last week. The numbers drawn were 5.7.9.20 with Matthew Moran junior, P & D Byrne, Desmond Doyle and Harry McElhinney all match three winners.
