Big day for Atticall

September 06, 2013
GAA president Liam O'Neill will be in Atticall tomorrow to perform the official opening of the new pitch and clubhouse at Holy Cross Park.

The president will cut the tap on the splendid new facilities at approximately 4.30pm, some 50 years after Atticall GAC was founded. A parade - led by Holy Cross Band - from Atticall Corner will take place before a challenge match between Atticall and All-Ireland intermediate club champions Fr. Rock's of Cookstown takes place on the new surface.

Meanwhile, a match in memory of rising Dromara and Down footballer Kevin O'Hare - who died in tragic circumstances on June 1 last - will take place on Sunday at St. John's GAC, Drumnaquoile at 1.30pm. The Kevin O'Hare Memorial Cup will be contested between Camp JMAC East Down and Camp JMAC South Down.

The All-Ireland hurling final will be shown live in the clubrooms after the game.
