Colm McFadden will make his 47th championship appearance for Donegal on Sunday, three behind the all time record held by Michael Hegarty.

McFadden made his Senior Championship debut for Donegal in 2002 and has gone on to make 46 championship appearances for the county.

On Sunday, he will add to that tally and the 30-year-old could well break the record on All-Ireland final day should the defending champions go the direct route to Croke Park. Tweet
