Carbery Rangers forward Declan Hayes has stressed that they won't be taking anyone for granted in the Munster club SFC.

First time Cork senior football champions, Carbery head into the unknown when they take on Limerick champions Monaleen.

Hayes told the Southern Star that they have been working hard since the county final and are determined to give the Munster campaign a real go.

"You can't take anyone for granted," said Hayes. "Any team you do come up against are going to be county champions and you've seen in the past how hard teams from Clare and Waterford can make it.

"Dromcollogher-Broadford have been very strong in Munster and Monaleen beat them so that shows you how strong they are, especially in Limerick.

"I suppose one advantage is that the Gaelic Grounds is a good, big pitch, which should hopefully suit our style of play."
