Sixmilebridge manager John O'Meara was delighted to see his side defeat defending champions Cratloe in the SHC, but stressed that they still had plenty to work on.

The 'bridge will now play Crusheen in the county semi-final and O'Meara acknowledged the fact that his charges need to step up another gear as they prepare for the penultimate stage of the championship.

A one point win over Cratloe in what can only be described as an excellent encounter will give O'Meara's charges a huge boost ahead of the next game.

"The main thing is that we're just thrilled to be in the semi-final. We've prepared very well for it. We had a month's work done and we're just thrilled to get over the line," said O'Meara.

"It could have gone either way at the end, as it could have last year. There's never much between the 'bridge and Cratloe. Collectively, there is a lot for us to work on. We had a fairly high wide count."
