There have been a couple of big managerial appointments on the Clare club scene this week.

2010 All-Ireland club football finalists Kilmurry-Ibrickane have named John Connole as their new manager in succession to Dermot Coughlan, who has stepped down due to work commitments. The Kinvara, Co. Galway native, who is a teacher in St. Flannan's College, will seek to end Cratloe's two-year reign as Jack Daly Cup holders in 2015.

In hurling, 2013 county champions Sixmilebridge have reappointed John O'Meara, despite their surprisingly early exit from this year's Canon Hamilton Cup race.
