Under-21 homecoming planned

A homecoming for the Clare under-21 hurlers has been organised by the local county council.

Clare County Council have revealed that the home coming will take place in the Abbey Street, Ennis on Sunday evening beginning at 6.30pm.

Councillor John Crowe told the Clare Champion: "To win a historic third U-21 title in a row would be a truly outstanding achievement for this group of players.

"Gerry O'Connor and Donal Moloney along with the rest of the coaching staff, have made an outstanding contribution to underage hurling in the county ensuring that Clare will be well placed to challenge for senior All-Ireland titles in future years. Every Clare hurling supporter is proud of the team irrespective of Saturday's result."
