Limerick dual players Niamh Richardson and Rebecca Delee don't have a decision to make this weekend - thanks to the intervention of the Camogie Association.

The Treaty County camogie and ladies football team were initially pencilled in for action on Sunday but the Examiner reports that the Camogie Association has brought forward the Galway/Limerick Division 1 league semi-final to Saturday to facilitate the players.

That means Richardson and Delee can also line out for the footballers in their Division 4 league semi-final against Wicklow in Stradbally on Sunday.

"The significance of both games is huge for the dual players involved," a statement from the Camogie Association outlined.

"The Camogie Association are committed to ensuring that fixture clashes for dual players can be avoided where possible in an effort to promote positive player welfare."

Limerick ladies football manager Eddie Murphy told The Examiner: "I am satisfied a solution has been reached. Player welfare is so important and thankfully, has been put first on this occasion."
