Leinster Camogie Convention 2014 - Saturday 17 January 2015
The Leinster Camogie Convention 2014 will take place in the Offices of Áras Laighean, Portlaoise (HQ of the Leinster GAA Council) at 13.00 on Saturday 17 January 2015. Apart from the normal business of convention there is likely to be much interest in the election of the Chair-elect to take over from Wexford's Rachel Hogan in 2016. The position will be contested by Pat Martin, current Chair of the Dublin Camogie Board and Richard Mulholland, a former Chair of the Kilkenny Camogie Board.
Whelehan Brothers - Bosses of Offaly Senior Camogie and Hurling teams
Birr and Offaly hurling legends Barry and Brian Whelehan have created another piece of history by becoming the first brothers to manage their county's senior camogie and hurling teams at the same time. Barry has recently been appointed to take over the camogie team from Aidan Franks who brought the Faithful to back to back All-Ireland Senior Quarter Finals. His Hurling Team of the Millenium brother Brian is manager of the Offaly senior hurling team.
