Corofin are into the Galway SFC quarter-finals with a game to spare after recording a 20-point victory over An Cheathru Rua in Clonbur yesterday.

Despite missing five of their All-Ireland winning starting 15 from last March, Kevin O'Brien's charges were in cruise control against the Connemara men, running out emphatic 5-16 to 1-8 winners.

It took just a minute for Corofin to score their opening goal through Ciaran Brady and Gary Sice, Martin Farragher and Dylan Canney (2) followed up with further majors after the break.

The All-Ireland champions have now gone 31 games since their last defeat in the Galway SFC as they chase a six-in-a-row of Frank Fox Cups.

Elsewhere, at Kenny Park, Galway captain Damien Comer (1-6) and his county teammate Frankie Burke (0-7) accounted for all of Annaghdown's tally in their 1-13 to 0-8 defeat of Salthill-Knocknacarra.
