Longford SHC: Tones retain their crown

Wolfe Tones are Longford senior hurling champions for the fourth year in-a-row following their 2-15 to 1-5 final victory over Clonguish Gaels at Glennon Bros Pearse Park today.

Sean Browne and Paddy Cullen found the back of the Clonguish net early in proceedings and the eventual winners held a commanding 2-5 to 0-1 lead at the halfway stage.

Jamie Rosney scored a late consolation goal for the losing outfit while Wolfe Tones' Seamus Hannon was honoured with the 'man-of-the-match' accolade.
