Diarmuid O'Sullivan of Cork with Henry Shefflin of Kilkenny at the end of the 2008 All Ireland semi final.

Legendary full back Diarmuid O'Sullivan has been confirmed as one of new Cork hurling manager Kieran Kingston's selectors.

'The Rock' will join Midleton's Pat Hartnett and Pat Ryan of Sarsfields in the think-tank.

Hartnett won All-Ireland medals with the Rebels in 1984 and '86, while O'Sullivan was an All-Ireland winner on three occasions - 1999, 2004 and 2005. Ryan, meanwhile, has enjoyed great success as manager of Sarsfields in recent years.

Kingston's first championship game in charge of Cork will be against old rivals Tipperary at Semple Stadium next May.
