Mayo SHC final: Higgins fires Ballyhaunis to victory

Keith Higgins produced a 'man-of-the-match' display as Ballyhaunis retained their Mayo SHC title with a three point victory over Tooreen yesterday.

The county's football captain sent over six points (four frees) from his midfield berth while half-forward Brian Hunt top scored with seven points.

Managed by Keith's father Peter, Ballyhaunis led by 0-11 to 1-5 at the break after conceding the game's only goal to Kenny Feeney midway through the first-half.
