Clare minor hurler Aaron Shanagher
Clare hurling is blessed to have a number of up-and-coming stars at present and Aaron Shanagher is the latest to grab the headlines.

The Banner County's minors have got their Munster MHC campaign back on track with wins over Kerry and Tipperary and the scoring exploits of their full-forward has been central to their progress.

The Wolfe Tones clubman was on target with 3-6 against the Kingdom while he helped himself to 1-13 in their 1-23 to 0-12 victory over the Premier County at Ennis last night.

All-Ireland champions Waterford proved too strong for Clare in the opening round but Shanagher still managed to raise seven white flags - that's a grand total of 4-26 from their three games to date.

And he is eligible for the minor grade again in 2015!
