Longford SFC final replay: Killoe have that bit extra

Killoe Young Emmets were crowned Longford senior football champions for the first time since 1995 when edging out Longford Slashers after extra-time at Pearse Park yesterday.

County star Sean McCormack was instrumental in Killoe's success and was on target with nine points, five of which came from placed balls.

The two teams finished level on ten points apiece at the end of 60 minutes after Daniel Mimnagh sent over a late equaliser for the eventual winners.

Killoe outscored Slashed by five points to two in extra-time.
