Longford SHC final: O'Brien makes his point

Full-forward Joe O'Brien registered eight points as Clonguish Gaels got the better of Wolfe Tones in the Longford SHC final at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.

Clonguish were five points to the good at half-time with Karl Murray getting their goal on the stroke of half-time.

Wolfe Tones replied with a goal through Jimmy Connell on the 50 minute mark and an Eoin Donnellan point left them just two points in arrears but Clonguish held on for a first title success since 2006.
