Parsons rules out AFL move

November 05, 2008
Mayo's Tom Parsons has dismissed any notion of him returning to Australia to play in the AFL anytime soon. Parsons was part of Sean Boylan's successful Irish International series, which triumphed to the Cormac McAnallen trophy last Friday at the MCG Stadium in Melbourne, and admitted it was great to be playing alongside the country's top players. "I'm happy with how I'm going at home. I've two years done in college and another two to go. I love Mayo football, I love Charlestown football. To be honest I don't think I have any interest in coming over (to Australia). "It was a good experience and good to be playing with some of the best players in Ireland. I'd like to think I would be able to push on for two or three years and hopefully have a better series next year at Croke Park."
