Wicklow - Senior hurling 2017

Wicklow haven't a hope on Saturday. Ye're going to get a well deserved slaughtering.

Ye are so bad ye are the only county in Ireland we can be certain of beating regardless of the code - says a lot about us but even more about ye.

Can we play ye every week?

Hard luck Wicklow. Just beaten by a team at a much higher standard.

Hard luck to lads yesterday. Best team won fair and square on the day. Big turnabout from relegation finals last year. Hope manager stays for another year.

Well done to Seamus and the boys overal a good year and good progress.
We need now to strengthen the the squad as I think we would have won the game if Lee, Glynn,Cunningham along with Moorehouse who was injured had been playing. The big problem is that we don't have 5 or 6 under 21s coming through with enough skill or pace to improve the panel. It will be interesting to see does this years championship throw up anyone new .
Well done !

It would,ve been nice to see Leighton Glynn Hurling for Wicklow this year but What age is he ,His club is Glenealy yes ?Little surprised seeing the team sheet that there where not more Bray Emmetts Players on the county team other than Moorehouse ,Henderson & a couple more ,considering there the dominant Hurling club in Wicklow of the last few years ,But nonetheless a nice team Seamus is building & showing lots of Hurling potential for next year ,hopefully seamus can add to this group & try win the League or Christy Ring Cup next ,did Glynn Hurl for his Club this year ?

Was at the Carlow v Wicklow match and just a few points. The way to improve Wicklow
hurling is through underage work. At the moment they are way behind Carlows level
of hurling and this was evident throughout the game.

That Carlow team contains 3 of the minor team that reached the Leinster Final in 2006.

Carlow have also beaten Dublin and Laois twice each at U21 in the last four years and most of the squad
are from those panels.

Wicklow should be copying Westmeath and Carlow and getting strong underage players to bring
through to senior level.

Get a few groups at U15/16 levels and bring them up together.
