Ulster veteran Kevin Barry scored 1-1

57-year-old Kevin Barry from Ulster Club San Francisco scored 1-1 as an impact substitute at the North American Finals in Seattle and claimed afterwards that "age doesn't matter".

The Wicklow man played in the Junior B competition and stressed that the 'Nationals' is for everyone, including the 50-somethings.

"I would say keep it going as long as you can. The Ulster Club and the North American County Board are fantastic. You couldn't thank them enough for what they do," said Barry who is believed to be the oldest ever scorer at the Finals.

The Ulster Club also won the Senior competition with a high-quality performance in the final.
