Wicklow manager Jonny Magee saw Laois up close on Saturday night and fears they could be in for a difficult time of it against Dublin in their Leinster SFC quarter-final on June 4.

While the O'Moore County registered their expected victory, the concession of 0-18 against Division 4 opposition is a huge cause for concern as they prepare to face the All-Ireland champions in Nowlan Park.

"If we can score 18 points off them, you know, it's going to very difficult for them," former Kilmacud Crokes and Dublin star Magee is quoted in the Irish Examiner.

"You would think that Dublin would probably double that. Dublin are at a different level. It's a tough task ahead of them. But, sure, that's why they brought in Anthony Cunningham, isn't it? It wasn't for us."

Not for the first time, Magee lamented the lack of championship football available to counties like Wicklow.

"Laois, how many appearances have they had over the last five years compared to my lads? In the first half, lads were caught in the headlights. But it's about trying to get more experience at this stage of the year. Last year, we played nine games and two (of those) in the summer. Today, we're away again - away twice last year.

"I'm banging on the drum and I'll keep banging on it. How long is it going to continue?" he asked.
