Wicklow under-21 manager Jonathan O'Neill admits that he had to adopt a different approach to his managerial style when appointed.
O'Neill has only recently hung up his hurl following a glittering inter-county career and this taking over the Wicklow under-21s was his first real step into management.
The Glenealy clubman led the Garden County to All-Ireland B glory when they defeated Meath in a pulsating encounter last Saturday.
However, he admitted to the Wicklow People that he had to remain calm on the line, which was a different approach then what he was use to coaching underage teams in his club.
"It's plain deliberate," said O'Neill. "A few of the Glenealy lads know me from when I was over juvenile teams and they know that I'm a bit of a mad man on the line.
"Ask some of the referees as well. So when I got the job I said that something has to change so I said that I'm just going to be calm and keep it calm and you get nowhere screaming and shouting. It's all a learning curve with me too."
