McSorley in dreamland

July 03, 2015

St Patrick's manager Brian McSorley admits that winning an All-Ireland title at under-14 level is a brilliant feeling.

McSorley brought his charges to this year's Feile with high hopes of doing well, but they went all the way winning the Division One girls' title.

"The whole thing was fantastic," said McSorley. "It was very well run. Everyone's hard work and preparation really paid off.

It took extra time to see off the challenge of Royal Gaels in the final, but once that final whistle went, there were scenes of madness from the Wicklow club.

"It was euphoria. The crowd were amazing. To lose the first game and comeback to win it, it was wonderful. It's still only sinking in. It was exceptional. This could be great for Wicklow GAA. It has given the whole community a real boost. It's a massive achievement."
