U21 management team named
October 30, 2014Jonathan Daniels is the new Wicklow U21 football manager.
The Blessington footballer succeeds Stevie Cushe and will be joined by a substantial backroom team comprising selectors Garry Duffy (St Pat's), Alan Clarke (Rathnew), Paddy Moynihan (Bray) and Brian Lennon (Donard - The Glen).
Interestingly, Daniels and two of his selectors - Moynihan and Lennon - formed the entire Wicklow full forward line against Dublin in the 2002 Leinster U21 FC final.
"I think any job with Wicklow is a big job and I'm sure everybody would like to do it at some stage, but it's definitely a challenge I'm relishing," the new manager told The Wicklow People.
