FAMILY'S HEARTBREAK AFTER SAN FRANCISCO TRAGEDY

Communities in shock at death of Mick (31)

The communities of Ashford and Glenealy are united in grief this week following the tragic death of Ballinahinch man, Mick Shea, in San Francisco last Thursday.
The body of 31-year-old Mick is expected to arrive in Dublin tomorrow (Thursday) morning and his Requiem Mass will take place in the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Ashford on Friday morning at 11am.
Mick had been living in America for the past number of years, moving first to Boston before relocating to San Francisco.
A plumber by trade, Mick had only returned to San Francisco within the past fortnight having returned home to attend the funeral of close friend, Adrian Skehan from Dundalk, who died tragically in America in mid-July.
A keen sportsman, Mick played hurling with Glenealy and football with Ashford in his youth and was a talented and passionate player.

An avid Liverpool supporter Mick had built a great life in America making plenty of friends but maintained close ties with his family and friends in Wicklow.
Mick is predeceased by his father Pat and is survived by his heartbroken mother Betty, brothers John and Brendan and a wide circle of family and friends.
