Kilcoole Camogie Club News
June 17, 2013
Kilcoole's Under 8s had their first taste of match action at the recent Avondale Blitz where they played brilliantly and had a fantastic day - so good that they just cannot wait for the next one! Lining out for the first time were: Laura, Kate, Nessa, Abby, Grace, Bryana, Kate Clodagh and Alice. Well Done girls - the first of many great days in the green and gold of Kilcoole!
The Under 10s also took part playing matches against Ballinacor and Glenealy - Well Done! Thanks to all the parents and family members who came out to support the girls. Thanks to Avondale for their hospitality.
Our U12s travelled to Carnew on Thursday to play the local side. This was another great performance all over the field but not enough to overcome the opposition! The Under 12s were due to play again on Friday but this match fell foul of the unseasonal Winter weather...and will be played later this week. Rd 6 of the U12 League is set for Friday June 21st when we welcome Knockananna to Kilcoole. Our Under 14s play Annacurra this week and complete the County League next week with the visit of Glenealy to Kilcoole.
For the past number of weeks many of our Under 14s have been attending training with the Co School of Excellence. They have enjoyed the training immensely and found it all very helpful. They have also had the experience of playing for County Wicklow at the recent Leinster Blitz in Portlaoise.
Well Done to all our players who have completed their State exams and are back to training - Training continues for all age groups on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings as before. New players are always welcome - More information from Secretary Tracy 0877518680 / email
