An Tóchar GAA Club Notes

June 10, 2013
The club has several (minor) maintenance jobs which have been on the long finger for some time now. It is intended to tackle some, or all, of these on Sat 15th June. We would appreciate as many pairs of hands as possible for a few hours on this day. We are going to get going at 9a.m.
So if you use a brush, a screw gun or a shovel please come along and give a hand for the day or an hour whatever you can spare.
There will be a joint School Sports day for both Moneystown and Roundwood National School held in the Club on this Friday 14th of June. This day has been hugely successful the last few years and we encourage all parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and long lost relations to come along on the day to add to the fun.
The Club had a couple of winners in the County Development Draw, congratulations to John Clancy and Liz and William Belton. The Club wish to extend a huge thank you to all who bought tickets for this draw. This is by far our club's biggest fundraiser for the year and with out it we would struggle to maintain the club premises and run all the teams.
There will be a BBQ held next Saturday 15th up at the Club for all managers, mentors, coaches and helpers and their partners of the various juvenile teams just to say thanks for all the selfless dedication and help with looking after the young players in our club. It will start at 6p.m. and the bar will be open later for anyone who wishes to come up and watch Wicklow V Meath in the Leinster Championship.
Our Junior A team are out in the Championship next Friday night in Ashford at 7:30p.m. They will face a strong Eire Óg team to whom we lost last Sunday in the league. All support would be great appreciated to push the lads on.
Best of wishes to Alec Wolohan who has just got out of hospital after a serious operation. Alec has done Trojan work in the club over many years and hopefully he will be back to full fitness quickly and we will see back up at the Centre soon.
Well done to John Kavanagh who is representing the club on the county U-14 team.
The club would like to extend our sympathies to the Doyle family in Likeen on the recent passing of Bernie Doyle, Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a n-anam.
