Our Junior A team remain top of Div 3 when they beat Rathnew in the league at home 2-10 to 2-9 great performance by all the lads. The lads play Kiltegan on Friday in the Champ in Hollywood at 7.30pm, best of luck to all. Bon voyage to Eoin Howlin whom have headed off for the summer, take care. Our Seniors played Kilaneran in a challenge and lost 2-9 to 1-9, a great run out as the lads have had no game in so long, they play Rathnew in Div 1 league Tues 18th June at home 7.45pm. Club lotto jackpot was not won last week and will now be at €11,800, on Tues 18th June in Mileys.You can now buy a lotto ticket online log on to club website www.blessingtongaa.ie make sure to tell all your friends, family abroad. Leinster Football Quarter Final Wicklow v Meath Sat 15th June at 7pm in Aughrim best of luck to all involved especially our club lads Michael, Anthony & Paul Mc Loughlin. Well done to all our young members who will competed in the Wicklow Community Games Finals in Shillelagh last Sat we have some heading Athlone in August for the National finals. We had one winner in the 3rd Wicklow Draw The Big Five c/o John Magee Snr, thanks to all who supported the draw we will have our club draw shortly for all tickets sold in the club. Best of luck to Wicklow Juniors who play Kildare on WEd next at 7.30pm in Newbridge especially to any of our club lads that may be involved.

The Gathering of Blessington GAA (La na gClub) took place on Mon 3rd June 3pm in Blessington GAA Grounds. The weather stayed fine and a lot of parents and children enjoyed the fun and games, face painting, puck fada and puck fada etc. The kids enjoyed the free goodies and ice cream which was provided on the day. Thanks to all the committee who helped out on the day. Roll on next year when the La na gClub will be bigger and better.
The only juvenile match this week was the U14s who played Avondale at home on Wed 5 June. An easy match for the lads with a final score of 11-17 to 0-03. Next match for the the U14s will be away to St Pats on Fri 14 Jun. The U12 team play away to An Tochar on Mon 17 June.The Go Games football for U8/U10s was held in Kilbride/Lacken last Sat 8 Jun. The Go Games hurling for U8/U10s will be held in Stratford/Grangecon on Fri 14 Jun.
Only 19 days to the Football Feile in Derry and the Feile Fundraising team are hard at work and there are a couple of fundraising activities happening over the next couple of weeks. A "Circle The Town in Blue" sponsored footpath walk around Blessington on Sunday 23 June starting from the pitch at 1pm. All participants are asked to wear blue and white club colours on the day. A cup of tea/coffee and refreshments will be available at the clubhouse following the walk.
The fundraising team have also secured highly sought after Corporate pairs of tickets to the Leinster Senior Football (14 Jul) and Leinster Senior Hurling Championship (7 Jul) . Tickets will be on sale next week and the draw is limited to 200 tickets and cost €10 each. Half are sold already so if you wish to buy a ticket please contact Noreen on

The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and Gaelic Players Association (GPA) recently launched the Elverys GAA/GPA Youth camps, offering the chance for juvenile boys aged between 13 to 15 years of age to learn the skills of Gaelic football and hurling from their GAA heroes, in high quality venues across the country over a two week period, from 24th June to 28th June and 1st July to 5th July. Blessington GAA has been chosen as the venue for Wicklow. IT Tallaght are granting bursaries to students who meet the educational requirements to gain entry into the college and who are also participating in GAA at an elite level or have a potential to reach an elite level.
