Saturday coaching returns this week for kiddies and underage teams.
Tuesday night saw our Intermediate team defeat Ashford in Div 3. On Tuesday there was a match played by our Senior team
v's Avondale for the Memorial Fogarty Cup. The Cup was presented to the victorious Rathnew team by Essie Fogarty in memory of her late husband Seamus and her late son Shane.
Well done to Colaiste Chill Mhantain on winning the Senior Schools final. Rathnew player Paul Ellis got to proudly captain the team while Ronan Doyle, Graham Merrigan and James Manley played a big part. With Robbie Gill, Patrick Duffy and Darren Kavanagh part of the panel. Well done lads.
Our Ladies had another outing against Enniskerry in Merrymeeting on Sunday. Tho Enniskerry won Rathnew are improving with each outing.Well done to Samantha Vickers and Laura Driver who had excellent games. Scorers Rebecca Massey 0-3, Arly Prunty 0-1,
and Tina Nolan an 'og'.
Our Intermediate team were beaten by Donard in the Championship on Sunday in Aughrim.
Congratulations to Eamonn Byrne who celebrated hes 40th with friends and family in Doyles recently.
