Hurlers host Mayo
May 09, 2013
It's do or die as Mayo visit Arklow in the Christy Ring Cup second round on Saturday.
Having been edged out in their first-round assignment in Derry last weekend, Casey O'Brien's charges know they have to win on Saturday to keep their season alive.
The Garden County are appealing Gary Byrne's dismissal against the Oak Leaf men and will be at full strength if that appeal is a success.
The visitors cannot be taken lightly. They have three players in their team by special permission and also have the gifted Keith Higgins in their XV.
Also, when these two counties met at Aughrim in the second-tier championship five years ago, it was Mayo who prevailed.
