The GAA fraternity in Bray were shocked and saddened at the death of John McCarthy formerly of Dargan Street. John was one of a family deeply involved with the old St. Kevin's club and with the county.

He was a good hurler in his young days and was on the Wicklow U-16 team that won Leinster in '67 but lost the All-Ireland final that year. To his wife Shelia, daughter, son and extended family we extend out sympathy.
