Kilmacanogue GAA notes
May 20, 2012
The Junior A team return to action on Tuesday when they host Ashford. The match will have a 7.15pm throw-in and as always we thank you for your continued support and encourage as many people as possible to come up and cheer on this team.
The Junior B team registered their first points on the board on Thursday evening as they got the better of local rivals Roundwood.
They will play again tomorrow night when they travel to Greystones to take on Eire Og. Throw-in in that one will also be 7.15pm.
We spoke last week of our members taking part in a defibrillator training course. Well, we can now reveal that the members who took part were: Peadar Smyth, Sean Creavin, Aaron Creavin, Greg O'Donnell, Andrew 'Hooper' Fitzsimons, Aidan Mullery, Christy Fox, Joy Burke, Shane Vickers, Jason Doyle, Simon Doyle and John Flynn.
The club will be running a bus to Carlow on Sunday for Wicklow's Leinster clash with Meath. Depending on numbers, terrace tickets will be available at €5 each. Please contact Peadar Smyth (0872841155) or Jason Doyle (0877906486) if you are interested. The bus will depart the village at 11.30am.
The club will also be running a pub quiz in the Glencormac Inn on Monday, May 28 th at 8.30pm. A table of 4 will cost €20. Any spot prizes would be greatly appreciated.
Also that night, we will be running a 'Bid for a Bachelor' auction. Craig O'Neill, Brendan O'Toole, Eoin Tuohy, David 'Chucky' Brady, Paddy Molloy and Andrew 'Hooper' Fitzsimons are the self-proclaimed most eligible bachelors in the village and now they're putting their ego on the line as we auction off an evening with each of them and the person who receives the highest bid will unofficially be crowned the village's most eligible bachelor!
So please come along, take part in the quiz and bag yourself a bachelor!
