Kilmacanogue GAA club notes
February 21, 2012
The lads enjoyed their first outing of the 2012 season on Saturday as they took on Emo of Laois in a challenge match.
Emo is an intermediate team having just been relegated from the senior division last year and they enjoyed a heavy victory over an experimental Kilmacanogue side.
The result was not important as it was just about shaking off the ring rust ahead of the new campaign.
Kilmacanogue's stars of tomorrow continue training up on the pitch every Tuesday night. Anybody aged between 15 and 18 is encouraged to head up at half 7 to take part in special training sessions to be taken by former county manager Hugh Kenny.
The club are also on the lookout for selectors for the Junior B and minor team. Anybody with any queries can contact Jason Doyle on 0877906486.
Finally, the club would like to extend its sympathies to the friends and family of Michael 'Mick' Waters.
Michael was a long-term committee member of Enniskerry and he sadly passed away this week.
May he rest in peace.
