Donard-Glen club notes

February 20, 2012
Our last game in the Johnny Stone league ended in defeat. This game was on Wednesday last in Donard against Kiltegan. A cracking good game of football between two evenly matched teams. The sides were level with time almost up when a mix up in our defence let Kiltegan in for a goal with the last kick of the game. Kiltegan now play Dunlavin in the play off.

All the teams involved were very happy with the league. It is now time to gather up the Hennessy Keogh, Corcoran and the O'Reilly cups and keep the game going during the winter months seeing as how we now have lights on most of our pitches.

Our team was Dan Mann, Kevin Osbourne, Jim Corrigan, Joe Mills, Bill Flynn, Rory Toomey, Clifford Grace, George Finlay, Stephen Pierce, Kevin Kealy, Shane Fisher, Stephen Carass, Gavin Walshe, Paul Mangan, Ger Halloran, Subs; D. Doyle, J. Walshe and C. O'Neill.

Our Golf Society are in action on Saturday next in Killerig. Tee times 9.30 to 10.30. Give yours truly or Gerry Daly a buzz if you are interested.

The winning numbers in the lotto for Mon 13th Feb. Were 16, 22, 23 and 27. There was no winner and four who matched three numbers each receiving €50. The jackpot now stands at €7,300 a nice little sum and still only €2 a ticket. If your not in you can't win.
