This year's Wicklow senior hurling championship will see a new team compete.

Delegates from the Eire Og Greystones and Kilcoole have agreed to amalgamate for the coming year and will compete in the senior championship under the name Corbett Gaels.

The introduction of a new team in the senior championship will surely be a boost to hurling in the county as Glenealy and Carnew dominating in recent years and indeed the former seem to have strengthened their grip as the top team in the county. Tweet
