Kennedy blow for Wicklow
January 26, 2012

Wicklow's Liam Kennedy
Wicklow hurler Liam Kennedy is set to miss most of the 2012 season.
The Carnew clubman has undergone surgery to deal with a lung problem and it is doubtful whether he will play any hurling at all this year.
At best, the Garden County centre back will miss the majority of the season - a major blow to manager Casey O'Brien as Kennedy is widely regarded as one of the finest hurlers in Wicklow.
In the past two years, he has been instrumental in the team's back-to-back league successes as well as their run to the 2011 Christy Ring Cup final.
