It is a sign of the end of the season when it is Junior championship time.
Our Junior "B" team were the only ones with a game last week.
On Sunday morning in Blessington they beat Bray in a preliminary round championship game. We didn't know what to expect from our lads who are middle table in division 4 of the league. A mixture of young and not so young took the field in top class conditions in Blessington. The opposition looked to be a more professional outfit with a few ex -county men on view. It didn't seem to worry our lads who got stuck in from the throw in. Our ex-county U21 and Junior man Liam Toomey showed the way at no 8. Veteran Goalie Brendan Hickey in the goals and young Alan Daly in the forwards showed the big town team what championship football was all about. After a very exiting game of football we just about deserved our one point win.

We hosted Go-Games in the Jim Mills Memorial Park on Saturday 21st August. Thanks to Hollywood, Blessington and Kilbride for coming and thanks to all the young whistlers.
