Congratulations to Maura Byrne from Valleymount who had the winning numbers for the Valleymount Gaa's Lotto jackpot of €6,100. The winning numbers were 5, 7, 12 and 17. Winners of the €25 prizes were Aoibheann Reid, Robert Reid, Andy Farrington and Donnie McEvoy. The next draw will be held on Friday the 27th and the jackpot will be €700.

Well done to our ladies team who have qualified for the semi final of the county championship. The ladies played two championship games last week. They brushed aside the challenge of neighbours Blessington in a very one sided encounter last Wednesday and then on Sunday evening the ladies had a narrow win over Tinahealy on a score line of 3-06 to 1-11 in Annacurra. The ladies topped their group and can now look forward to the semi final. Keep up the good work girls. Best of luck to the Wicklow ladies team who play Louth in the All Ireland quarter final next weekend. Check the fixtures section for the time and venue.

Well done to the lad's team who had a hard fought win over Blessington on Sunday morning. The final score was Blessington 1-7 Valleymount 0-12. We found ourselves trailing at half time despite having most of the possession. The second half saw an improvement in our shooting and we held on for a narrow win. We have a vital championship game in Baltinglass this Saturday against Annacurra. All support welcome; throw up is at 6pm.

The Junior C team narrowly lost out to Blessington last week on a score line of 0-11 to 0-09. Great to see a full squad of players out and we must keep it up now as championship is just around the corner. The Junior team face Stratford this week in their last game of the league.
