Ballymanus Notes

August 03, 2010
The intermediates had a hard fought win over Coolboy in the championship last weekend. Winning by six points at the break, the lads were caught on the hop early in the second when Coolboy netted twice and notched on a couple of points for good measure. The lads however battled down the hatches and managed to win by three points in the end on a scoreline 1-15 to 3-6. They now face Ashford in the final league home fixture this Friday evening. The newly formed u16's put in a great performance on Sunday last against Stratford and in the end ran out worthy winners in a fast free flowing game of football. They play their next outing against Michael Dwyers this Saturday evening at 7pm in the Gap, so all support appreciated. The squad on Saturday last was Aine Byrne, Willie Harmon, Philip Coogan, Killian Farrar, Conor Doyle, Conor Lambert, Liam Byrne, Darragh O'Keeffe, Craig Farrar, Rory, Paul Murray, Roan Lynch, Darragh Byrne and Pauraic Byrne. There was no lotto jackpot winner for the draw held Monday July 26th, with Louise Hyns the only match three winner from 2,3,22,24. Finally, the deadline for the first Wicklow Development draw has been extended, giving those that have not already secured their tickets more time to put their name into the hat to potentially win a car, holiday or cash prizes. Tickets cost €100 and are available from any member of the executive committee.
