Wicklow to welcome Carlow this Sunday
March 01, 2010
Aughrim will play host to a dress rehearsal of this summer's Leinster championship first round clash when neighbours Wicklow and Carlow collide in the National Football League this Sunday (throw-in 2.30pm).
Both sides are still in the early shake-up for promotion from Division Four, with Wicklow in four points and Luke Dempsey's Carlow on three, after the opening three rounds.
A win would put either side up their with Munster pair Limerick and Waterford, both of whom have set the pace early on in the division by maintaining an unbeaten run from the three rounds thus far.
After having such a promising championship campaign in 2009, Mick O'Dwyer's team will be eager to back it up with a bid for promotion and this Sunday could well be a crucial juncture in their quest.
